Ballroom

is a partner dance where couples engage in rhythmic step-patterns, mirroring the characteristics of music in a dynamic duo performance. This dance form is divided into two styles: the Smooth, or Standard, and the Rhythm, or Latin. The Smooth style emphasizes elegance, grace, and seamless movement, with dancers rotating in a counter-clockwise direction, traversing the entirety of the dance floor. It showcases a continuous flow of movement, as the couple transitionally glides from one position to the next, following a fixed pattern.

Line Dancing

involves a group of individuals performing choreographed steps in unison while arranged in lines, typically facing the same direction. It's relatively easy to learn due to its repeating sequence of steps. While often associated with country music, line dancing's origins lie in contemporary genres like pop and rock 'n roll, demonstrating its wide-ranging appeal and versatility.

Jitterbug

is a broad term often utilized to encompass various forms of swing dance. While it's frequently equated with the lindy hop style, it also encapsulates aspects of several other swing dance types. These may include the lively jive, the upbeat east coast swing, the energetic collegiate shag, the vintage charleston, the smooth balboa, among others.
