Trey McAlvain

Trey is an accomplished athlete and martial artist who has dedicated his life to mastering the art of Taekwondo. His journey in athletics began early when he joined gymnastics as soon as he could walk, continuing until the age of six.

In 1988, Taekwondo was introduced into the school curriculum, where he trained with his father, and his dedication and hard work paid off when he achieved a black belt in 1991. He earned his instructor status in 1995, and aside from a brief hiatus after graduating college with a Petroleum Engineering Degree and living in Houston, he has been teaching and training in Taekwondo consistently.

His passion for martial arts led him to explore Hanmudo, where he met two Grand Masters in the art of Hapkido, Geoff Booth and J.R. West, during the late 90s. His training and experience with these masters influenced his approach, and he has since developed a combined curriculum that incorporates the best of both styles.

With his extensive knowledge and skill, he continues to inspire and teaches students to achieve their best in the art of martial arts.
